Introducing--HN Kenneth Blaine Metzger

I am HN (Hospitalman) Kenneth Blaine Metzger based in Groton, CT. I am currently deployed to Camp Stone (Herat), Afghanistan under the the 1st armored battalion from Fort Riley, KS. I am attached to a 16 man team as their sole corpsman(and medical provider) and the only Navy personnel out of five 16 man teams. I am the first and only corpsman to be assigned to this team. I am originally from Royal Center, IN, where my family and beautiful daughter (Alexandria Rose Sency) are from. My girlfriend, Tasha Klein, is from St. George, KS. I have been in the Navy since December 6, 2006, and I will be here in Afghanistan for 12 months until Sep. 09. I am 23 years old and the oldest of 7 children.

    Hi there! What a nice looking fellow. Guess what I met you one time, not too long ago. You have a great smile. Don't forget to keep using it even while you are gone. It is precious and one to be shared. I think of you often and you are in my prayers. It seems like 12 months is a long time now but when it is over it will not seem so big.I am going to make you guess who I am. I will write you again...especially if you guess who I am. We have to keep that brain going you know, that is what being in the Navy would want..Right??? :-)
