Greetings from American Heritage Girls Troop CT0001 and Cub Scout Pack 2 Mystic. Our scouts are very excited to begin our second year of supporting the brave military men and women and their families who sacrifice so much for our nation.Last year, we were honored to support and get to know HM1 Curtis Thaxton, his wife, Melissa, and his son, Bailey, during Curt's deployment to Iraq. The emotions depicted in this picture upon Curt's return to the good ol' USA pretty much say it all! This year, we'll be working very closely with Curt to support other deployed service men and women. So far, we made contact with the following folks:

HM2 Corporan (deployed in Kuwait)
HN Kenneth Metzger (deployed in Afghanistan)
HN Matthew Hreben (deployed in Afghanistan)
Hopefully as time and conditions permit, these brave sailors will be able to access this blogger and keep in touch with all of us. We are also hoping to grow our support network to include family, friends, and other appreciative Americans.
